Suppressors · SBRs · SBSs · AOWs · Machine Guns · SOT Class 2 Manufacturer
Ironcrest Arms is a SOT Class 2 manufacturer authorized to manufacture, transfer, and deal in all NFA firearms. Whether you are a civilian looking to register an SBR or purchase a suppressor, or a law enforcement agency acquiring weapons on Form 5, we handle the entire process from start to finish.
As of January 1, 2026, the $200 NFA tax stamp has been eliminated for suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, and AOWs. You still need to submit ATF forms and pass a background check, but the fee is gone.

Common Questions
Do I still need to pay the $200 tax stamp?
No. As of January 1, 2026, the $200 NFA tax stamp has been eliminated for suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, and AOWs. You still need to submit ATF forms and pass a background check, but the fee is gone.
How long does the approval process take?
When Ironcrest manufactures your NFA item on Form 2 and processes the Form 4 back to you, our observed in-house turnaround has been approximately 30 days — significantly faster than the 60+ days typically seen on customer-filed Form 1 applications. If you're transferring an existing NFA item on a standard eForm 4, expect 90–120 days. We handle all paperwork and submit electronically.
Can I bring my own firearm for SBR conversion?
Yes. You bring us your pistol or rifle, we manufacture it as an NFA item on Form 2, engrave the required markings, and process the Form 4 transfer back to you once approved.
What markings are required for NFA items?
ATF requires the manufacturer name, city, state, serial number, caliber, and model to be engraved to a minimum depth of .003 inches. We handle all of this with our CNC engraving equipment.
I am a law enforcement agency. How does this work for us?
Law enforcement agencies receive NFA items via Form 5, which is tax-exempt and does not require individual officer background checks. We handle the entire process. See our Law Enforcement Services page for full details.
Also Available
Custom builds, HB 40 serialization, and full LEO armorer services.
